Northwoods Landscape & Recreation will help you choose the most appropriate plants for your landscaping project. When selecting plants, we not only consider the plant size, shape and texture, but also the site location, soils and drainage. Your landscape design will have a beautiful arrangement of perennials, ornamental grasses, trees and shrubs that provide continuous color and interest to your garden throughout the year.

Our plant selection is greater than any other nursery or garden center in Northern Minnesota. We can take you directly to our wholesaler who has an enormous number and variety of plants to choose from. We will professionally assist you in selecting the best plants for your landscape design.

Spring Bare Root Sale

Each spring we sell 8–16' trees at 1⁄3 the normal price that you would pay at another nursery. We can also offer you bare root shrubs but these need to be purchased in bundles of 5 shrubs per bundle. Bare root stock is easy to handle and has a very good success.

Landscape Maintenance

Plant maintenance is also very important in retaining your backyard paradise. We will show you how to maintain and prune your plants. A well-maintained landscape can last for over 20 years before becoming overgrown.
